System strips
The System section holds five strips that are always present. They carry sounds that are not on a track, so you can balance them against your mix without touching the project.
| Strip | Carries |
|---|---|
| Piano | The built-in piano played by the on-screen keyboard or a MIDI device when no instrument track is selected |
| Plinky | Plinky’s spoken replies when you have Read Plinky replies aloud on in Chat |
| Peers | The voices of everyone in your team call |
| Click | The metronome and count-in |
| On Air | The broadcast you receive while someone else in the Space is performing On Air |
Each has the same controls as a track strip. Typical uses: pull Peers down while you record, bring Click up in your headphones, or mute Plinky during a take.
System strip settings are monitoring choices and stay on your device; they are not synced to peers.
Settings → Audio has a Test Tone that feeds the Plinky and Peers strips, so you can check your routing without a call or an instrument.
