Each header carries, left to right: the track icon (click to pick another), the name, mute, solo, record-arm, input monitor, freeze, lock, a fader, a pan knob, a mono/stereo switch and the input source. Right-click a header for the track colour swatches (Color track (new regions follow)) and Delete Track.

  • Input source opens a popup with None, the browser input buses, and — with Plinken Run connected — every stereo pair of your audio interface.
  • DELAY is a ± millisecond offset for playback only. A negative value plays the track earlier. It never touches what you record.
  • Freeze renders a track with its plugin chain to audio to save CPU. A banner shows Freezing ”…” with progress; unfreeze to edit the chain again.
  • Lock protects a track’s regions from accidental edits.

Every track type has one fixed colour and one default icon, so you can tell at a glance what a row is. The colour is fixed per type: two audio tracks always look alike, and a track’s colour never depends on how many tracks existed when you created it.

Track typeColourWhy this colour
Audio#4FA8FF azureOpen air, calm — the classic waveform blue
Video#FFC93C amberProjector light, golden hour
Motion#FF8A5B coralKinetic energy, the heat of movement
Instrument Run#4ECB71 emeraldAlive, playable — “go”
Instrument Web#8EE3A8 mintThe lighter sibling of the emerald
Automation#3FD0C9 cyanA control signal: precise, electrical

Where a type has a Run and a Web variant, both share a hue and the web variant is the lighter one.

Regions inherit their track’s colour, so a track and its regions read as one thing. Recolour a single track and only that track changes — its header icon and any regions you create on it afterwards follow the new colour.
