On Air

On Air lets one person in a Space perform while everyone else listens and watches. It is built for remote recording sessions: the singer is in one place, the producer in another, and the take still lands on the timeline.

  1. Join the Team call. Going On Air requires being in the call; otherwise the app says To enable ON AIR you must be in a team call.
  2. Click Perform in the header or On Air on the Grid. Going On Air needs the Basic plan or higher.
  3. Your voice and camera now ride the broadcast. The button reads Stop performing until you end it.

Only one performer per Space. If someone else is already On Air, Plinken asks {name} is on air. Take over the performance?

With Plinken Run connected, the runner builds the broadcast mix from your audio interface.

Everyone else in the Space becomes a listener. The broadcast arrives on the On Air strip of the mixer and the performer’s video shows on their Team tile. The header button reads Stop listening.

Listeners get a floating TALKBACK control. Hold it to talk into the performer’s monitors, even while a take is rolling; your own monitor dims by the Dim level set in Settings → Audio → On Air Talkback. Switch Auto on to open talkback automatically whenever the timeline stops. Drag the grip to move the control.
