Wave editor

Double-click an audio region to open the wave editor. It has three modes: Wave, Flex and Rhythm. Switching modes only changes the view, never what plays. All edits are non-destructive until you Pin them.

The standard tasks. Normalize the region, nudge a selected range earlier or later by 1 ms (Shift-click for 10 ms), and adjust Velocity — select a range with the arrow tool, then drag up or down to change its level with ramped edges.

Plinken detects the notes in the region and shows them as blocks you can move.

  • Tools: Select, Split, Glue, Erase, Mute, Zoom.
  • Pick a scale (Chromatic, Major, Minor) and click Auto Tune to snap the selected notes to it.
  • Detection controls: Lowest (lowest note the tracker may land on — set it just below the singer’s range), Gate, Min length, then Re-detect.
  • What we hear toggles between your edits and the original so you can compare in context.

Detects hits and pulls them onto a grid. Controls: Tempo (detected versus project tempo), Grid, Strength (0 = off, 100 = hard snap), Swing (50 = straight), Transient sensitivity, Gate, then Re-detect.

  • Reset discards every edit on the region — pitch, quantize, velocity — and starts over.
  • Pin bakes the edits into the source file permanently. It changes every use of that file in the project and cannot be undone, so Plinken asks first.
